Texas Dexter Cattle Roundup More Useful Information
Dates: June 19-22, 2008 Location: Bell County Exposition Center, 301 W. Loop 121, Belton, TX 76513, No pets allowed. No outside alcohol. No Smoking Facility. Host Hotel: La Quinta Inn & Suites (adjacent to parking lot for Expo) Make reservations under ADCA - 254-939-2772; All rooms are $89 + taxes; Pets must be declared; very few Smoking Rooms. A list of back-up motels in Belton, temple & Salado will be available shortly. RV & Campground Available: (adjacent to Expo grounds) Info will be available shortly.
Special Requirements for Cattle: All cattle must show proof of the following at check-in: Health Certificate; Bangs test; TB results if animal is traveling into Texas. Owners should keep photocopies of all documents. Information on Cattle Set-up: Cattle panels will be available in the covered barn area. They will cost $4.00 per panel. Exhibitors set up their own panels. They may also bring their own equipment if they prefer. Bedding (shavings) will be supplied. Replacement bedding must be purchased. It will be for sale onsite for $4.00. Hay and feed may also be available for purchase onsite. If not, there is a local feed store very close. A vet is even closer (right next door to the Expo.) There will be dropdown electrical outlets in the covered cattle barn for vans, etc. There will be tie-outs in the covered arena. Other Show Facilities: Portable wash racks are available indoors and out. Region 7 Booth will serve as central info center for participants and public. Will also sell Event Items such as T-shirts, etc. Dexter info video will be running. VENDORS - vendor space is on concrete indoors near concessionaires. Single spaces with available electric outlets are 25'x15' are $75/day for Friday and Saturday. Early setup on Thursday is at no extra charge. We will not be taking a % of sales. No vendors may sell food. Vendors must bring own tables and chairs, and will also have the opportunity to advertise in catalog for public and/or Dexter sales catalog.
